Natakue's blog

Hey Warmonger's! It's that time again...it's time for a blog post. ;) It's been a bit since this site was back up. To be honest it was Jan 28th 2012 that the site went down...and it did not come back up till 2-7-2012. Now that's a wile if you ask me. But oh well it's back to the fray right!

So I wanted to talk to you guys about games. Not just video games but games in general. More important is what make you play these games? I mean there are many, many types of games out there form MMO's to tabletop war gaming. What drives you to play these games? I cannot answer that question for you but I can answer that question for me.

So let’s look at the tabletop side of things...since that's why I started this whole warmonger movement in the first place. ;) Tabletop gaming has been a love of mine since I got out of high school. But to be honest the main love has always been painting. I mean heck back in high school I wanted to be a comic book artist but for some reason I never really followed that up. So the art side of it has always been a main love. But just because it was my main love that does not mean I do not like the game side…because I do. It’s just that the painting fuels my gaming desire. So when I play a tabletop game my thing is I want my army to be the best looking on the table…so I paint them to play in a sense.

If I play and they are not painted…I have fun but it just does not feel the same to me. Now don’t get me wrong when I play I have fun I just want my miniatures and terrain to look the best it can always. So to make the answer short…the art side fuels my tabletop needs…when I have people to play the games with me.

Now on to Video gaming!

These are the three that I either play or looking forward to.

Video gaming has always been a passion for me since I was a young kid. Like most of you I grew up when video gaming was just coming into style. Back in the old Nintendo days…I had all the games Mega Man, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Contra, oh a Star Fox and I play them all the time. They were fun and an escape for me whenever I did not feel like messing with the kids around the blocks crap the seemed to deal out. I got very good at these games…I remember the days I would go to the arcade with a dollar and play street fighter all day cause I would rule the machine. This was fun for me…but everything changed when Everquest came into the picture. This was a whole new ball game for me. Not only could I play a fun game but I could play with all my friends and slay a dragon at the same time. Keep in mind I did not like the course runs…oh they sucked, but oh yeah on with the story. I grew to love the MMO rpg type of games because it was more of an outlet for me and It became my social outlet in a way. When I was not playing a tabletop game I was sure to be online or out with my Wife/Girlfriend at the time. Yes I had a life, and still do. *smile* Today video games represent a escape for me. When I have a bad day at work all I want to do it hit something…well I just load up wow and hit something and in fine. Another good part of WOW or any game these days is that all my good friends are grown like me and have life’s with kids and we don’t get together that much anymore. WoW is perfect ways to get together…we just open up vent connect to our wow server and we are hanging out.

So that’s what motivates me to play games…it’s all about the art and friends. To me that’s all that matters. What matters to you? I would love to know…comment below and tell me.

Later Warmongers!

Well I have started! I'm not sure if you guys will like them or not but they are here to stay and they will only get better. I started off with a small video of me doing a Battleground with my level 41 rouge. Now I'm not good at PvP at all but I figured I would give it a try. I have come to find out that I like it...well at least with my rouge any way. So most of my PvP videos will be with my rouge...I hope you like and take care Warmongers!

Well lets just say that my adventures in gaming are great! Well at least I think they are.

Over the last few months I have had a time with gaming...most of it with gaming on a tabletop level. Most of you may or may not have see my latest vid on GW and well I'm done with them. I'm not going over all of that again but with that change there will be a change to this site. Now the change will not be huge...it just means that my focus will be on Infinity and other small games.

Also with this change I'm going to be focusing on gamin in general. That means you will see some stuff on game that are not tabletop games...like say video games. So do not be surprised if you see stuff on this site about video game.

So keep an eye out and have fun gaming!

Ahh yeah!!!! Got my starter box in for Infinity last week and im so stoked! If you have not already known I'm going to be play infinity here very soon. I started off with the box set of Nomads...I just really liked the fluff of that faction more than others. I started painting them up(pic's very soon) and even filmed a review for them. Just need to edit the video(takes a bit with after effects.

I just wanted to write something about my joy of this new game and I will be writing more here very soon.

Well Its time again for another blog by Natakue! And this time I want to ask you a question. What type of terrain do you prefer? The reason I ask this is because I want to get into the terrain field with a friend of mine. My friend who i will refer to as Bubbles from here on out shows skill and desires to make great terrain. So I want to get into with him but, im not sure how I can start. So....

So...I m deciding on Hirst Arts molds...the type of mold that can make stuff like what its pictured below. The molds them self IMO are cheap and the items you can make out of them will rock. But they take a long time to build and you have to have skill...and atm I don't have skill IMO. SO As I conside getting the molds I want o get your feed back on this. If I do get them I will be making Vblogs on the progress and ideas that I have. So let me know what you think!

I was looking around the net yesterday and Im finding that paper terrain is comming on very strong. That got me thinking...is it better that normal terrain? The reaon I ask is I can see all the pros of the paper terrain for example the easy setup. I mean all you have to do is print it out and glue it together. But does that make it better? I my self love the real terrain look but hate the amount of time it take to get it built. But I guess you get a sence of satafaction when its done. But back to the paper terrain...again is it worth it? I would liek to know what you guys think about this. Take a look at some of the terraina below and tell me your vew on the subject.

You may or may not have heard that the old Warmonger Gameday will be leaving very soon. My thought was to keep the news portion on this site but not sure how I was going to do that. I mean I know I can add blog posts on the site but I want them to be seen easy. Im working on that ATM as well as adding new sections for Battle Reports as well. So I know I have said this already but they are coming and thanks again for the joining the site!

Hey their Warmonger's! I just wanted to do a little post on the games that I play and what you will be seeing from me on this site. Now that the site is launched I feel like I need to go over my games.

Game #1:

Who does not play this game? I right now play this bad boy the most. I currently play Blood Angels and thats the army I will be playing for a long time. 40k has a love hate relationship with me. I love the game but I hate the cost of the game. I know alot of you guys out there feel the same as me so you know were im coming from on this. I may not be buying much for this on the future but it's not going to keep me from playing the game.

Game #2:

This is a guilty pleasure for me. Not very many people play this and to be honest I have only played it like 7 times. But each time I played it I loved it! It's a very quick flowing game and a very small skirmish level game. They game is played on a 4x4 board so the game board is not very big. Not to mention their figures are sweet as well.

Game #3

This is a new game that I will be getting into very soon. I do not know much about this game ATM but I will very soon. All I know is that I will be playing Nomads and I love the look of the game.

Game #4

Heavy Gear Blitz is a game that I want to play real bad! right now im working on getting every thing together to play this game. Im not sure on the rules yet but I will be doing a set of videos on how to play this game once I get the time to learn.

So there you have it...the game that I play or will be playing. You can expect that all of these games will be covered in my blogs and videos on YouTube. So see you soon! :)
