I have to say Thank you to Natakue For Starting Up Warmonger all the parts of it .I been in the hobbies of minis not just war games for over 23 years. I just started back in the hobby and without Natakue I think I would have been lost in tiring to get back into my hobby. I lost all my tools models and everything that i had. Do to a u haul and storage place that caught on fire. I did get money for what I lost but spent it on getting a better place to live for my kids

Well I am going to get all my tools and minis back in do time I just like to read  and watch. and when I get my stuff to make the minis I will post here and on YouTube I have a lot of cool free and easy tips you all can use in the mini hobby.

Hey Warmonger's! It's that time again...it's time for a blog post. ;) It's been a bit since this site was back up. To be honest it was Jan 28th 2012 that the site went down...and it did not come back up till 2-7-2012. Now that's a wile if you ask me. But oh well it's back to the fray right!

So I wanted to talk to you guys about games. Not just video games but games in general. More important is what make you play these games? I mean there are many, many types of games out there form MMO's to tabletop war gaming. What drives you to play these games? I cannot answer that question for you but I can answer that question for me.

So let’s look at the tabletop side of things...since that's why I started this whole warmonger movement in the first place. ;) Tabletop gaming has been a love of mine since I got out of high school. But to be honest the main love has always been painting. I mean heck back in high school I wanted to be a comic book artist but for some reason I never really followed that up. So the art side of it has always been a main love. But just because it was my main love that does not mean I do not like the game side…because I do. It’s just that the painting fuels my gaming desire. So when I play a tabletop game my thing is I want my army to be the best looking on the table…so I paint them to play in a sense.

If I play and they are not painted…I have fun but it just does not feel the same to me. Now don’t get me wrong when I play I have fun I just want my miniatures and terrain to look the best it can always. So to make the answer short…the art side fuels my tabletop needs…when I have people to play the games with me.

Now on to Video gaming!

These are the three that I either play or looking forward to.

Video gaming has always been a passion for me since I was a young kid. Like most of you I grew up when video gaming was just coming into style. Back in the old Nintendo days…I had all the games Mega Man, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Contra, oh a Star Fox and I play them all the time. They were fun and an escape for me whenever I did not feel like messing with the kids around the blocks crap the seemed to deal out. I got very good at these games…I remember the days I would go to the arcade with a dollar and play street fighter all day cause I would rule the machine. This was fun for me…but everything changed when Everquest came into the picture. This was a whole new ball game for me. Not only could I play a fun game but I could play with all my friends and slay a dragon at the same time. Keep in mind I did not like the course runs…oh they sucked, but oh yeah on with the story. I grew to love the MMO rpg type of games because it was more of an outlet for me and It became my social outlet in a way. When I was not playing a tabletop game I was sure to be online or out with my Wife/Girlfriend at the time. Yes I had a life, and still do. *smile* Today video games represent a escape for me. When I have a bad day at work all I want to do it hit something…well I just load up wow and hit something and in fine. Another good part of WOW or any game these days is that all my good friends are grown like me and have life’s with kids and we don’t get together that much anymore. WoW is perfect ways to get together…we just open up vent connect to our wow server and we are hanging out.

So that’s what motivates me to play games…it’s all about the art and friends. To me that’s all that matters. What matters to you? I would love to know…comment below and tell me.

Later Warmongers!

Natakue

Well Its time again for another blog by Natakue! And this time I want to ask you a question. What type of terrain do you prefer? The reason I ask this is because I want to get into the terrain field with a friend of mine. My friend who i will refer to as Bubbles from here on out shows skill and desires to make great terrain. So I want to get into with him but, im not sure how I can start. So....

So...I m deciding on Hirst Arts molds...the type of mold that can make stuff like what its pictured below. The molds them self IMO are cheap and the items you can make out of them will rock. But they take a long time to build and you have to have skill...and atm I don't have skill IMO. SO As I conside getting the molds I want o get your feed back on this. If I do get them I will be making Vblogs on the progress and ideas that I have. So let me know what you think!

Till Next Time...

I was looking around the net yesterday and Im finding that paper terrain is comming on very strong. That got me thinking...is it better that normal terrain? The reaon I ask is I can see all the pros of the paper terrain for example the easy setup. I mean all you have to do is print it out and glue it together. But does that make it better? I my self love the real terrain look but hate the amount of time it take to get it built. But I guess you get a sence of satafaction when its done. But back to the paper terrain...again is it worth it? I would liek to know what you guys think about this. Take a look at some of the terraina below and tell me your vew on the subject.

The chick has purple, yes, purple hair.  No basing done yet, but will be working on that after I get my next set of minis painted.

I had to use a piece of tap to cover the slot up.  I'll be trimming it before the basing is down.

All in all Im happy with how this guys turned out.  Thoughts from the crowd?
